To Do
[ToDo(typeof(Self))]
Things that might be worth checking out:
- InterLINQ - Linq over the WCF (finally forget about XPO gateway?)
- Umbrella project - helper/utility library for C# 3.0
- NServiceBus - .NET communications framework
- Mass Transit - another service bus implementation for .NET
- FinalBuilder - another build scripting tool with rich task set (not free, yet got some popularity)
- Git - distributed revision control system that gets popular but does not have proper TortoiseGit
- RedMine - a project management web application (Ruby on Rails). Has all the Trac stuff, but task/resource management is definitely inferior to Microsoft Project
- Check out if the communications OS (Win XP on the notebook at the present) could be transformed to SLED (SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop/Server) + Xen + Virtual WinXP. It will make everything more portable.
- NHibernate Shards - the port of Hibernate Shards that provide framework to simplify horizontal partitioning of the databases.
- Microsoft ISV Buddy Program - tries to show the caring nature of the company and assigns one of the employees to your ISV company. You can talk even about the weather.
- Visual Studio Team System - an expensive “set of software development, collaboration, metrics, and reporting tools from Microsoft”.
Things that have been checked out:
- Launchy - another launcher for Winfows (seems to be too popular)
